Polkadot OpenGov Wish for Change Referendum #959, initiated by Giotto, has passed.
It proposes that the Polkadot marketing strategy focuses on spreading awareness to end users which will in turn attract VCs and investors.
While Giotto claims that the passing of this referendum is indicative of an overall consensus about the Polkadot marketing strategy, Shawn Tabrizi is less convinced. He believes that forming a message such as this and asking people to vote yes or no, without any prior community discussion on the message itself, does not indicate consensus at all, and is not the way the Wish for Change track is supposed to be used.
