PBA Equips for the Second Age
As the protocol enters its second age, the Polkadot Blockchain Academy is shifting focus to support its product-led strategy. Kicking off in Lisbon on April 12th, the Polkadot Builders Program aims to prepare candidates for potential roles at Parity. Level 3 and 4 developers with Rust experience and blockchain knowledge are invited to apply.
Blockspace Welcomes the Flock
The sanctuary doors have opened for WebZero’s ETHDenver Blockspace Church, supported by Polkadot and Hyperbridge. Inauguration commenced on February 16th with opening cocktails for a curated congregation, featuring an open bar, networking rooms, and a cozy firepit for roasting marshmallows.

After transitioning to parathread status with on-demand Coretime, the Hyperbridge system triggered an emergency pause. This is because the Polkadot SDK currently lacks BEEFY consensus support for parathreads, which is essential for proof generation. An update is underway and will be Whitelisted on OpenGov shortly.
When the DEUS?
The XMAQUINA Referendum XMQ-04 is now live, asking the DAO to decide when the DEUS TGE should occur. Option 1 lets the Northstar Council schedule it strategically based on market conditions, with a deadline of August 31, 2026. Options 2 and 3 enforce stricter timelines of 16 weeks and 8 weeks, respectively.
The Ink May Fade, But Rust Remains
