Alaskan Airlines has become the first airline to utilize the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Certificates (SAFc) Registry, built by Energy Web. Chooose, in partnership with the SAFc Registry has developed a platform that streamlines and automates SAFc logging and verification, providing consistency, transparency, and auditability. SAFcs allow airlines to buy and sell emissions reduction credits from sustainable fuel generation to offset environmental impact. With this new simplified process, verified by blockchain technology, SAFc Registry and Chooose hope to see expanded industry adoption of SAF.
